This shot was taken with the Hipstamatic app and the Salvador Dali Film which has created a mirrored image in the sky which makes me think of fairy tale castles.

I took this shot with the Hipstamatic app , I used the Roboto Glitter Lens, Dream Canvas Film and no flash. I love the distressed edges and canvas texture. Hope you like it too, let me know.

I took this shot with the Hipstamatic app on my i phone. I used the Salvador 84 Lens and BlacKeys SuperGrain Film and no flash. The coastguard station has now been abandoned but the building is still very dominant on the cliff above the light house at Tynemouth. This was a random selection of lens and film created by shaking the camera.  I love the reflections in the water and how they are mirrored by the lens. Hope you like it, let me know.

I took this photo of Tynemouth Longsands last year with the Hipstamatic app. I like the way the sky and sand are enhanced by the glorious colours. When a beautiful beach is at the end of your street it is often easy to take it for granted. Over the last few months I have taken to returning home via the sea front, if its a lovely day I open the windows to let in the ozone. At night I love to see the moon on the water and on windy days the white horses racing to the shore.

This photo was taken last year with my i phone. I love the rich colours of the freesia and alstroemeria. Alstroemeria is also known as the peruvian lily and lasts at least two weeks as a cut flower.

I love this photo of one of my orchids, taken last year. Hipstamatic app, Hornbecker lens, Blanko Noir film. I would love to see it enlarged and printed on canvas, I think it would look terrific.

I took this photo last summer when we stayed in Warkworth . Hipstamatic app again, Libatique 73 lens with Dreamcanvas film. I think it looks like a painting by an old master.

Well, I had great intentions of blogging everyday last year….. however I fell by the wayside somewhat and as the days stretched into weeks and then into months the whole project seemed to be too daunting.

So here I am, New Year new intentions. If I miss a day or a week I’m not going to beat myself up about it.

The picture above is one of my favourites from 2011. My lovely husband smuggled a rose into my studio on Valentines day, it was such a rare occurrence that I took lots of photos to record the event.

I took the picture with my i-phone and the Hipstamatic app.

I think it is truly beautiful.

Happy New Year!

This view of the “danglers” in my studio was taken with the Hipstamatic App using the Salvador 84 Lens and Dream Canvas Film with no flash. I really like the way the little butterflies are mirrored.

I’m thrilled with this photo taken with my Hipstamatic app. I have some lovely tulips in my bedroom and this was taken with a John S Lens, Blanko Film and Standard Flash.

Today I have been in my studio teaching and this photo was taken with the Hipstamatic app on my i phone. I used the John S lens and Dream Canvas Film with no flash. It makes everything look dreamy and inspirational.  Haven’t been very creative today, perhaps the muse will strike tomorrow?

How’s this for an arty photo? Taken with my i phone as are all the photos so far this year. I’m really enjoying playing with the Hipstamatic app and this was taken with the Dream Canvas film Berry Pop Flash and Salvador 84 Lens.
