For the last 3 days I have been demonstrating for a company called Craft Habitat at the Pins and Needles Show at Gosforth Park race course near Newcastle Upon Tyne. Craft Habitat specialise in die cutting machines and dies, as well as inks, punches and beautiful papers. This is one of the cards that I made. I used one of the new Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folders, Marianne dies and a punch. I coloured the whole thing with distress inks and added some sparkle with Stickles glitter glue. Hope you like it, let me know.

Another sample, this time I mixed Pebeo Modelling Medium with 3 colours of Pebeo Studio Acrylic Paint. I stuck the stencil to the background with masking tape and scraped the coloured medium over the stencil until there were no gaps. I removed the stencil and washed it straight away to remove the excess paint. I added a little glitter because I love all things sparkly! The modelling medium makes the acrylic paint stiffer and goes through the stencil more easily. I think I could have done with a bit more modelling medium as it leaked a bit. I still like it though. Hope you do too. Let me know.

Whilst hunting around the house recently to find things to display on my new set of canvas drawers I re-discovered this beautiful glass ink well. I think it came from Mum and Dad’s house. What better place to display it than on my little writing desk…… now if I could just find that old dipping pen!

This view of the “danglers” in my studio was taken with the Hipstamatic App using the Salvador 84 Lens and Dream Canvas Film with no flash. I really like the way the little butterflies are mirrored.
